We don’t offer ‘ball park figures’ because every commission is unique and our pricing system reflects this. We ask you to calculate your own price cost, but are always available by e mail or telephone (0044 121 454 5874) to help you.
How we calculate cost:
| • |
Level - undergraduate, masters or doctoral? The higher the level the higher the cost, naturally. |
| • |
Length – we calculate in 1000 words (approximately 4 pages) |
| • |
Timescale – we can deliver in any time scale once you are registered with us. Base Rate for each degree level band is the lowest cost. Faster turnaround incurs higher costs. |
Base Rate
| • |
Undergraduate |
£40.00 per hour |
| • |
Master’s & Postgraduate |
£45.00 per hour |
| • |
Doctorate |
£50.00 per hour |
Please Note: Our cost is calculated at time of beginning you commission (when we receive your instructions) and not when it is delivered to you. Our writers’ working week is 35 hours. The rate is dependent upon the numbers of hours required (5 day week @ 7 hours per day or 7 day week @ 5 hours)
Our costing system is complex but transparent. Please read all sections before commissioning any work and ensure you have estimated your final cost correctly. Our pricing system reflects our ethos, we are more expensive than many sites but provide a more personalised and much higher quality service in all aspects.
Work Commissioned at less than Base Rate
Work required in less time is calculated for Undergraduate commissions as;
| • |
10 days before commencing work |
£45 per hour |
| • |
7 days before |
£50 per hour |
| • |
4 days before |
£55 per hour |
| • |
2 days before |
£60 per hour |
| • |
1 day before (immediate response) |
£65 per hour |
| • |
Same day commencement of work |
£70 per hour |
When calculating for Masters’ and Doctorate rates begin from the appropriate Base Rate and calculate accordingly.
Length - we calculate all commisisons upwards to the nearest 500 words and @ 8 hours per 1000 words
Hours per 1000 words
| Writing with all materials supplied |
8 hours per 1000 words |
| Writing and Full Research |
|
| Undergraduate level |
8 hours construction / 3 hours research |
| Postgraduate and Masters |
8 hours construction / 4 hours research |
| Doctorate level |
8 hours construction / 5 hours research |
| Editing of Scripts |
8 hours per 1000 words |
Our charges for editing are the same as for writing. The document you require to be edited will go through a word count on arrival and again when despatched. The charge is levied on the upper word count whether this is the incoming or the outgoing document.
A pre-reading fee applies
to all materials and is calculated on the number of words
you require for your commission, not the number of words
you have sent. When sending your own draft for editing
this is subject to a pre-reading fee calculated on the
incoming word count and this computation includes paragraphs
of instructions where applicable.
| Undergraduate |
pre-reading fee |
2 hour per 1000 words |
| Master’s |
pre-reading fee |
3 hours per 1000 words |
| Doctorate |
pre-reading fee |
4 hours per 1000 words |
If you wish us to pre-read
a dissertation etc submitted by another, for some idea
of level required etc, in addition, a separate pre reading
fee is applied, depending on word count or page count
of document, if hard copy sent.
Research once completed must be assimilated by your writer and we levy a research completed pre-reading charge:
| Undergraduate |
1 hour |
| Postgraduate/Master’ |
2 hours |
| Doctorate/PhD |
3 hours |
Other costs include the Verifier's Fee which is always at Immediate Rate and is calculated in 5,000 word increments:
| Undergraduate |
2 hours per 5000 words |
| Postgraduate/Master’s |
3 hours per 5000 words |
| Doctorate/PhD |
4 hours per 5000 words |
To ensure the optimum verification each item - such as a plan or a questionnaire for collecting primary data for a dissertation - is regarded as a separate commission. It is submitted to a Verifier and is subject to these pro rata costs.
All commissions are subject to independent verification before being despatched to you and we normally allow 48 hours for this process But if you commission work at Express or Super Express rates and work must be begun on it at the time of your instruction or shortly afterwards this 48 hour period cannot be maintained.
In this event we will automatically pass on your script for Express Verification and this express service will incur an additional cost of 3 hours per 5,000 words for undergraduate, 4 hours for Masters and 5 hours for PhD (Verification is always costed at Express Rate) In cases where work has been expressed and to keep our pledge to you of undertaking free amendments if required, the cost free notification period will be reduced from 24 hours to 12 in order to ensure that we are able to undertake any such amendments and you are able to keep your deadline.
We are able to match commissions and writers in all disciplines but some may become oversubscribed owing to the specialised nature of fields of study We always seek the closest match between your writer's specialism and the commission but in those cases where we consider we are unable for any reason to offer the best match that can ensure the highest quality of outcome we will advise you within 48 hours of lodging your instructions and refund your registration fee in full.
All commissioned work is subject to a word count and there is a minimum charge of 1,000 words for any commission. Where the commission has consisted of a cluster of smaller units of commissions (e.g. survey, questionnaire, interview schedule) these will be costed independently and itemised on your invoice as Commission, 1, 2, 3.
Once you have commissioned the work and a completion date is set the contract becomes binding and subject to a cancelation fee if you choose not to go forward. This fee is compensation to your writer @£500 plus £100 per 1000 words contracted. The date of materials or final instruction received is of relevance only for the calculation of your invoice.
This is especially important
in long term writing collaborations, where
you may be asked to sign a Writer Retention Agreement to
secure your writer for the length of your commission.
If you decide to defer part of your programme or the
final year dissertation your writing team will require
three months prior notice of your decision to do so.
This is because your team will have apportioned their
time to you, turning down other commissions because,
being in post, they are limited to the numbers of commissions
they are able to accept and must be compensated with sufficient
advance notice to enable them to secure other work.
*Clients residing outside
the UK will be asked to make a payment contribution before
commissions are released. If paying directly into our
account please allow adequate time for transfer. Any
direct payment must show in our account by close of trade
the date settlement is due. If paying by cheque we strongly
advise you send recorded delivery or cash by registered
post. Mode of payment is dependant upon your ghostwriter’s
instructions. Ensuring that payment arrives by the
due date is the client's responsibility. Late payment
surcharges apply at all times and in all cases, on
any late payment.
